The City of Brighton is excited to launch a new on-demand transit service this Fall—and we need your help to name it!
This innovative pilot program will offer a convenient, affordable, and eco-friendly way to get around town without needing a personal car. Whether you're commuting to work, heading downtown, or connecting to other transit systems, this new service will get you there with just a few taps on your phone—or a quick call.
Now through June 8 we’re inviting community members to submit creative and meaningful name ideas for this exciting new service. The chosen name will reflect Brighton’s unique character and the goals of the program: increased mobility, accessibility for all, and reduced environmental impact.
Launching this Fall, the program is designed to provide a smooth and reliable experience, with the goal of getting riders from booking to drop-off in about 30 minutes. Key features include:
- Launching in Fall 2025
- On-demand rides within Brighton and possibly nearby areas
- Easy booking by app or phone, with service available in English and Spanish
- A cleaner, greener Brighton by reducing car use and emissions
- Support and enhance existing transit options by offering quick, easy connections to RTD’s bus and FlexRide systems—helping riders complete the first or last part of their trip.
“This program is part of our broader effort to support sustainable transportation and a more connected Brighton,” Public Works Director Greg Labrie said. “By giving people more ways to get around, we’re helping reduce vehicle traffic, protect the environment, and ensure everyone—regardless of age or ability—has access to reliable transportation.”
