Marijuana Licensing

The City Clerk's office will begin accepting complete marijuana application packets on Friday, March 1, 2024, during normal business hours. All applicants will drop off complete application packets and the City Clerk's office will review all application documents and contact the applicant, if necessary. All marijuana application packets will be accepted for an initial 60-day application period.

Before submitting an application for a marijuana business, all applicants must obtain a Marijuana Business Zoning Verification Letter. Please submit your completed application to abesch@brightonco.gov.

PLEASE REVIEW ORDINANCE NO. 2439 BELOW TO CONFIRM ALL REQUIREMENTS BEFORE SUBMITTING A MARIJUANA BUSINESS APPLICATION PACKET. A BUSINESS PLAN AND OPERATING PLAN IS REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED ALONG WITH THE COMPLETE APPLICATION PACKET.
