The goal of the Grease Control Program is to protect the public sanitary sewer system from fat, oil, and grease (FOG) discharges, which cause:
- Backups within the city infrastructure impacting customer's homes
- Overflows of raw sewage into the environment
- Interferes with the biological processes at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
