February is American Heart Month, a time when all people are encouraged to focus on their cardiovascular health. Let’s show our hearts some love by getting a little extra cardio in! Join our Cycling classes and track your miles! The person with the most miles at the end of the month wins a prize! Mileage tracking sheets will be given out by cycling instructors.

Join our winter team challenge and establish healthy habits as we move into the new year! We’ll equip you with the tools that you need and the team spirit to keep you motivated.
- Professional Support: Meet weekly with your team and work out under the guidance of a certified personal trainer. Your coach will help you track your progress.
- Facility Access: All participants will receive a full access pass and enjoy all Brighton Recreation Center amenities for the duration of the challenge.
- Weekly Encouragement: Access pre-programmed workouts to complete between group sessions. Receive words of encouragement from your coach every week.
- Friendly Competition: Set and achieve individual and team goals. Participate in weekly team wellness challenges.
- Nutritional Advice: Learn tips to help elevate your progress and reach your wellness goals
The cost will be $100, which includes group sessions only. Save money on personal training by enrolling in the $175 challenge, which includes group sessions and 3 personal training sessions. Turkey Burn, 8 - 10 a.m.: Join us the day after Thanksgiving for a fun, feel-good sweat session! From 8–10 a.m., we’ll kick things off with an energizing ride in our brand-new Cycle Studio, fire up your metabolism with a heart-pumping HIIT workout, and finish strong with a 30-minute mat stretch to leave you feeling refreshed and recharged. Burn off the feast, boost your mood, and start your weekend feeling amazing! Class is designed for ages 16+. All fitness levels welcome! Space is limited, so please register in advance!
Aqua Fusion, 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.: Blend the best of shallow and deep-water fitness for a full-body challenge. Move through a variety of cardio, strength, and core exercises using the resistance and support of water at all depths.

The best way to motivate yourself to push through that extra rep is by having other people by your side to cheer you on. It’s hard not to get inspired by your classmates. Everyone was a beginner at some point. When you see someone next to you lifting heavier or moving faster, it will inspire you to push your limits. View our complete schedule of classes. Individual Personal Training
Each body type is unique and requires a different kind of training method to reach optimum health and fitness. A personal trainer can gauge your current fitness level, discuss your goals and develop a program tailored to meet your specific needs. Work one-on- one with a personal trainer to meet your fitness goals. Sessions are one hour each. Each registration includes a complimentary 30-minute orientation and assessment with your trainer to discuss your goals.

Semi-Private Personal Training
Semi-Private training provides the same benefits as our personal training program with the added benefits of working out with a friend at a lower session rate. Sessions are one hour each. Please note that semi-private sessions are priced per person. Each registration includes a group 30-minute orientation and assessment with your trainer to discuss your goals.

Build confidence and learn the essentials in this supportive 6-week strength series for senior adults. Designed for those new to weight training, participants will learn proper machine set-up, safe lifting technique, and how to track strength progress in a welcoming, smallgroup environment. Each week builds on foundational movement patterns, posture, and gradual progression under the guidance of a Certified Personal Trainer. Leave feeling comfortable, capable, and ready to use the fitness center independently. No prior experience needed

Silver Sneakers Classes
- Silver Sneakers Circuit: Designed for active adults who desire a safe and effective low-impact cardiovascular workout. This class will bring heart-healthy aerobics to your workout using low-impact movements.
- Silver Sneakers Classic: A low-impact, total body conditioning class. The class focuses on strengthening muscles and increasing range of movement for daily life activities.
- Silver Sneakers Yoga: This class challenges you with a variety of simple and safe yoga exercises you do at your own pace. Increase flexibility, build endurance, and learn how to relax and think more clearly. This yoga class utilizes a chair for support.
*Participants are not required to have a Silver Sneakers membership in order to take classes.
55+ who want to build full-body strength, improve balance, and boost stamina. Each week features Upper Body, Lower Body, and Full Body sessions, combining traditional strength training with functional movement patterns that support everyday activities. Work through guided sets, repetition variations, and occasional circuits using free weights and studio equipment in a supportive, small-group setting.

Level 1: Foundations of Strength
This supportive, small-group class is designed specifically for women who want a clear and comfortable introduction to fitness and strength exercise. You’ll learn proper form, safe lifting techniques, and how to use a variety of equipment including dumbbells, barbells, machines, and functional tools. No prior experience necessary - just come ready to learn, move and get stronger. The series meets once per week for 4 weeks.

Level 2: Strength and Smart Programming
This 4-week series builds on the foundations learned in Level 1 and introduces progressive strength training and workout design. This class is ideal for women who are comfortable with basic lifts and want to train with greater purpose and independence. You will refine technique, increase strength and learn how to program your own workouts based on specific wellness goals. By the end of this series, you’ll understand how to train smarter and confidently navigate the weight room on your own.

This series offers more advanced exercise options for those who have graduated from our Strong Start series. Participants will build upon the basics of strength and agility under the guidance of a certified personal trainer. Workouts will be challenging and engaging for youth ages 11-14.

Youth Weight Room Orientation
An introductory class, taught by a certified personal trainer that encourages positive body image and emphasizes a safe weight training environment. Junior passes will be given to those who successfully complete this course and may be used with adult supervision in the weight room.
The class will cover:
- Weight room safety
- Etiquette and weight room rules
- Safe lifting techniques
- Proper use of machines and cardio equipment

Youth between the ages of 11-14 must be accompanied by a guardian 18 years or older, and a weight room card is REQUIRED to use the fitness center. Must be age 11 at start of session.
Fitness Calendar
A variety of group fitness classes are offered at peak times Monday through Saturday. Classes are offered at no extra cost with entrance to the facility.

We ask that you please sign up in advance for group fitness classes you would like to attend.
Get all the perks when you sign up in advance for a fitness class, including receiving messages any time your class has been subbed out with a different instructor, had the format adjusted or has been cancelled due to weather.
This will also help us gauge interest in our programming to ensure that we are offering the community more of the classes, teachers and formats that you enjoy!
