Bridge Street widening project update, May 31:

(The following schedule is weather dependent and subject to change)

- Regular permanent traffic realignments will continue on Bridge Street from 22nd Avenue to 40th Avenue through the coming week. Crews will move forward with storm sewer work and grading for curb, gutter and sidewalk installations from 22nd Avenue to Telluride Street on the north side of Bridge Street. 

- The 40th Avenue and Bridge Street intersection is now open to travel in both directions. Storm sewer work will continue at the intersection off the side of the roadway next week with minimal impacts to drivers. 

- For drivers traveling westbound on Bridge Street, there will be no left turns onto 27th Avenue. Drivers are encouraged to continue west to make a lefthand turn at 22nd Avenue.

- Speed limit reductions are in place within the project zone. Additional traffic enforcement will be patrolling the construction zone to ensure the safety of the project team and traveling public.

- Trucks and heavy equipment will continue to enter and exit the roadway within the project zone, so drivers are encouraged to slow down, watch for workers and equipment, and leave plenty of space in between vehicles. Please be mindful and exercise extreme caution when traveling through construction areas.
