Back-to-back holiday weekend celebrations will be coming to Brighton with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 6 and the Festival of Lights Parade on Saturday, Dec. 13. 

The Tree Lighting event will take place from 1-5:30 p.m. at Founders Plaza (5 S. Main Street). This event will feature a Winter Market with unique artists, crafters, and artisan food vendors beginning at 1 p.m.  

Vendor applications will be accepted online until Nov. 21. The fee for a vendor space is $50. Click here to submit a vendor application.  

Other activities prior to the Tree Lighting include pictures with Santa, free face painting, and The Teddy Bear & Friends Tree. These activities will take place from 1-5 p.m. Local school choirs will perform earlier in the afternoon with Face Vocal Band, the internationally acclaimed all-vocal rock band from Boulder, performing on stage from 4-5:30 p.m. on S. Main Street in front of Founders Plaza. The United Power tree lighting will take place at 5 p.m. 

On Dec. 13, the City of Brighton will host the 30th Annual Festival of Lights Parade starting at 5 p.m. downtown. The nighttime light parade is a hometown tradition and will feature up to 65 parade entries.
