The City of Brighton will begin construction on the Colorado Front Range Trail (CFRT) Veteran’s Park Trail Connection on Monday, Feb. 17. The project will expand the trail system by adding 400 feet of new trail along the right of way on Bridge Street.   

This extension will connect Veteran's Park to the roundabouts on the west side of town, further supporting the City’s commitment to creating accessible, connected green spaces for residents. As part of construction, the installation of new curb and gutter will take place along this section of Bridge Street to improve stormwater infrastructure. 
 
During the construction period, the shoulder of the road along this section of Bridge Street will be closed. Drivers should be aware of periodic traffic lane changes as work progresses. The city encourages all motorists to slow down, remain alert, and follow posted signs when driving near the construction zone to ensure the safety of both workers and the public.
