ALERT: The City of Brighton has been made aware of a business going door to door warning homeowners of possible contaminants in the City's water and offering to have an analyst come out and check their water quality. This claim is NOT true and the City of Brighton's public water system is in compliance with all applicable drinking water standards set by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
The City regularly tests the public water system, which is safe for use. See the Brighton Drinking Water Quality Report at www.brightonco.gov/waterreport. Per our procedures, any possible issues with the City's water would be communicated immediately with the public through our alert system, website, social media and other communication platforms.
If you have any questions or concerns or have been approached by a business offering water testing, please reach out to our Utilities Department at 303-655-2117.
