Brighton Police Department took a total of six juveniles into custody on Wednesday, March 15 in connection to the shooting near 9th Avenue and Bush Street. Those six juveniles were released after questioning. On March 16 around 5 p.m. officers arrested two other juveniles in connection to this incident who were processed and booked into Prairie Vista Youth Services Detention Center.

No further information is available at this time. Brighton Police Department will release an additional update when charges have been filed with the District Attorney's Office. Under Colorado laws, the arrest and filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual committed a crime. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
