The Planning Division assists citizens and the development community in understanding and applying the City of Brighton's development policies and regulations in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan, District Plan, and Land Use and Development Code. The division also serves as the primary staff support to the Planning Commission and provide information on development processes, land use, zoning, and design standards.

For an official confirmation of zoning or allowed uses, please apply for a Zoning Verification Letter and send completed applications to planner@brightonco.gov.
Please note: Zoning Verification Letter Applications for marijuana businesses are found on the Marijuana Licensing page.
For minor modifications to Wireless Communication Facilities (WCFs) that qualify as Eligible Facilities Requests (EFRs), please fill out the EFR Verification form and send a completed copy to planner@brightonco.gov.
