Local Foods Workshop 2020

This workshop was held on February 13, 2020 at The Armory in Brighton. Approximately 60 people attended and participated, representing a variety of organizations and perspectives on our local food system. Below are some of the details about the event, as well as PowerPoint presentations and notes from breakout sessions. These may be used for reference and to continue conversations.

Workshop Objectives

  1. Acknowledge what local food resources exist in Historic Splendid Valley and how they can be accessed.
  2. Explore food access challenges in our community, and why they exist .
  3. Identify collaborative solutions to increase local food access and reduce waste, facilitate next steps.
