    LocalAdams County Opportunity Scholarship$15,000Must attend 27J school district, have a 2.5 GPA, must demonstrate and verify financial need as determined by FAFSA. The student must have been actively involved in community service and show a resume that includes such service, awards, accomplishment, work history. Must write an essay on what opportunity means to them, their family and community. Recipient must enroll in a Colorado public university, college, community college or vocational school.     LocalBrighton Elks Lodge #1586 Scholarship$1,000Two 4 year scholarships awarded per year. Must be a high school senior due to be enrolled in an accredited U.S. college, university, trade or technical school and have a GPA between 2.0 and 3.4. Only students that attend the following schools may apply: Brighton High School, Bolt Academy, Innovations and Options, Goal high School, Eagle Ridge Academy, Prairie View High School, Brighton Leadership Academy, Riverdale Ridge High School, Fort Lupton High School, Weld Central High School, Horizon High School, Ridge View Academy Charter School, Our Lady Help of Christians, Home School (in Lodge jurisdiction).     LocalCity of Brighton Employee Charities Scholarship$500Must attend 27J School District, have a 2.5 GPA, letter of acceptance from a college, university, technical or vocational school. Documentation of community service, letter of recommendation, 500-word essay on positive community service. Must not be related to a BEC Committee Member.     Local Quality Community Foundation Scholarship Opportunity$4,000Applicant must be a Commerce City resident, be enrolled or due to be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or vocational school in Colorado and have a 2.0 GPA. For more information and to apply, visit c3gov.com/QCF.
    LocalUnited Power Scholarship$20,500Total of 18 scholarships available. For students whose families are served by United Power or dependents of members.
