12'H 14'W 10'D 3,000 lbs., bronze sculpture, wing span of 20 feet. Located at Prairie Center, its pedestal 40 feet above the ground.
Commissioned by the developers of Prairie Center in Brighton. It took Scott 18 months to complete.
About the artist: formally trained at the Kansas City Art Institute and later worked as an animation background artist for the motion picture industry. She turned her attention to etchings and printmaking in the 1970’s and to sculpture in the 1980’s. “The Kansas City Art Institute opened my eyes to the fundamentals of art, the North Country introduced me to a never ending source of inspiration and teaching is an ongoing discipline – I’ve learned and continue to learn through teaching.”
