I love Brighton's website, especially the Community Voice section. I believe this should be a high priority resource for city officials to really see what the community is concerned about and how we can make our community a better, cleaner and safer place for us all. I propose really establishing a "spread the word" campaign for letting our fellow community members now about this. I will start by telling all my neighbors and hope that it catches on. This is how we get things done for the community, by the community.

We would love to have a new store in place of the run-down Mi Pueblo market. Sprouts would be a great, healthy alternative to the fatty foods which are so readily available to Brighton residents....

We have been Brighton residents for 14 years and have seen it grow so much more than it had when we first moved here. I have concern however with the kinds of "neighbors" that are being allowed to move in, those being hydraulic fracturing sites such as the new on 144th Avenue between Brighton Road and Hwy 85 and all along Hwy 7 to the west. Some of these sites are within a few hundred feed of homes and some are even in the middle of housing developments. I believe that with the questioning of this industry in the news that there should be a moratorium placed on any "fracking" in and around the City limits until it is proven that it does not effect water resources, air quality, health and natural landscapes.
So my "great idea" is to implement insurances against harmful industries or process from entering into our community. Just think twice about whether there will be harm done by allowing these kinds of entries into our city. I am proud of Brighton and want to protect it.

Dog parks are truly a multi generational park activity for all ages.
Despite what opponents say, dog parks are more for people than for dogs, because they attract the
adult users who vote to support parks and who are more vocal in the community. Relatively low
construction costs and low maintenance costs also yield the greatest amount of recreation
opportunities for the investment, and there is a low (if any) user cost. Dog parks also provide outdoor
exercise for the majority of park users who do not otherwise participate in organized sports.

We need more Restaurants Chains like Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc, in Brighton. They would definitely be uses with all the new homes and young people moving into the area. This way the money and tax dollars could stay in Brighton, in essence building the finances in Brighton as well instead of another towns, and the people in the community would not have to travel clear across the country to get a good meal. They is land all along Bromley which is the prime site for these types of business. Even over on Sable / 4 th since they are now starting to develop this area, instead of a bunch of storage units.

Also why are you coming out east? there is nothing but farm land. i mean, do you just do it to annoy and piss us natives off? Denver is west and north west. and south. not east. learn to follow rules and act like a responsible adult. And we natives won't care if you are here. but as of right now, oh! we are at the limit with you transplants.
