The city of Brighton’s Parks and Recreation Department will host the 29th Annual Turkey Trot at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23. The Turkey Trot will begin at the Brighton Recreation Center, 555 N. 11th Ave. The 5K Run/Walk, dubbed the “flattest and fasted 5K race,” features various age divisions with awards given to first, second and third place male and female finishers in each age division. The race is also a Bolder Boulder qualifier.
Registration is available in-person at the Brighton Recreation Center through noon on Thursday, Nov. 21 or online by noon on Friday, Nov. 22 at www.brightonco.gov or www.active.com. Mail-in registration is also available up to Wednesday, Nov. 20.
The early bird registration fee is $25/adults (16-59) or $17/youth (15 and under) and seniors (60+). The race day fee is $30/adults (16-59) or $22/youth (15 and under) and seniors (60+). A discount is available to 27J students and teachers. The fee includes a great long sleeve Tec T-shirt, post race breakfast, awards, prizes, drawings and much more. No dogs are allowed.
