The Brighton Cultural Arts Commission is seeking nominations for its 2022 Excellence in Arts Awards. Brighton has a vibrant and growing cultural arts community, and the Commission would like to celebrate individuals and groups within Brighton who are cultural arts champions. The Commission is asking for nominations in the following categories:
Master of Visual Arts- This category is open to photographers, painters, potters, sculptors, fiber artists, and jewelry designers.
Master of Performing Arts- This category is open to an individual or groups who are filmmakers, dancers, actors/actresses, directors, singers, or musicians.
Master of Literary Arts- This category is open to someone who is a writer.
Visionary- This category is open to an individual, group, or business who has been a leader in the Brighton cultural arts scene.
Master of Cultural Arts in Education- This category is open to an individual, group, or business who has offered some form of creative arts activity to the youth in our community.
Outstanding Volunteer in Cultural Arts- This category is open to an individual who has devoted time, talent, and service to enhance the cultural experience in Brighton.
Beyond Brighton- This category is open to an individual, group, or business from outside Brighton who has strengthened our community’s cultural arts.

The nomination deadline is 4 p.m. on September 22. The Excellence in Arts Awards will be presented at a special evening event on November 3 at 7 p.m. at Eagle View Adult Center (1150 Prairie Center Parkway).
