The City of Brighton’s Growing Grads College and Career Readiness Launch returns on Wednesday, September 21 at The Armory Performing Arts Center (300 Strong Street) from 5:30 - 8 p.m. High school juniors and seniors, parents and anyone interested in pursuing higher education are encouraged to attend.
“We’re looking forward to this launch to help prepare students for college and their careers,” said Tawnya Russell, Manager of Youth Services. “It’s a great way for them to learn about resources and get their questions answered on the spot.”
Colleges, universities, trade schools, apprenticeships and more will be in attendance.
Presentations on how to pay for college, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), will be available in English and Spanish. Resources will also be made available to help immigrants learn ways to pay for college. In addition, participants can learn about local scholarship opportunities.
The kickoff is free to attend. To register or learn more about the College and Career Readiness Launch, click here.
