With summer upon us and registration deadlines approaching quickly, make sure you don’t miss out on registering for your favorite sports league. Below are a few of the Brighton Recreation Center’s upcoming leagues that are currently open for registration:
Adult Softball: Registration for the Recreation Center’s USSSA Sanctioned Leagues will close on Wednesday, April 20. Spots will fill up quickly as this is the inaugural season on the City’s brand new artificial turf fields. The cost is $550 for a 12-week season. The Manager’s Meeting will be held on April 20. With games starting the following week on May 3, 4 or 5, depending on which night you sign up for. Men’s leagues will be on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and co-ed leagues will be on Thursday evenings. T-Ball (ages 5-6 years): Register now for our T-ball league - The cost is $49 per player which covers the six-week league. Games start on June 10 and are on Friday evenings between 4:30-8 p.m. Practices are held 30 minutes before scheduled games. Players are required to have their own glove and are encouraged to have their own bat and helmet. Registration will close on Friday, May 6. Adult Sand Volleyball: It’s time for 4 vs. 4 co-ed volleyball - Build your team and sign up now. This summer outdoor program will be a shorter version of the city’s indoor co-ed volleyball league, but will be on newer sand volleyball courts! Get your friends together and have a blast during this summer league. The cost per team is $175 and the last chance to register is May 30. Youth Track and Field Team: Come join our 2022 summer CARA track and field team - This introduction to the sport provides kids the opportunity to try out different events of their choice. Practice is twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays with optional track meets on Saturdays. Youth ages 5-16 are invited to join for an eight-week program.
