[ARCHIVED] City of Brighton launches new interactive development map

interactive map

To help the community view and track the status of development projects in the city, the City of Brighton has launched a new user-friendly interactive map on the Community Development webpage of the City website. With the online tool, the public can see new development projects, status changes of those projects, and public hearing information. The interactive development map was created to improve customer service for community members and business owners. This online tool will provide a more transparent look into the development applications that are currently being reviewed by city staff, are being scheduled for public hearings, and for projects that have been approved and are awaiting construction.

“We want to improve transparency with members of the public by providing an easily accessible platform for everyone to view the most up-to-date information about developments in their community,” said Holly Prather, Director of Community Development.

Examples of projects that may be included on the interactive development map would include new residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial developments, and applications to change the zoning of a property.

Projects can be looked up by viewing the general location on the map or entering an address. They can also be identified by development type (commercial, mixed-use, residential, public or industrial) or status (under review, approved, public hearing or under construction). Additionally, clicking on the icon will provide the project’s name, location, type, status, next step in the process and any other pertinent notes.

You may access this map by clicking here or entering http://brightonco.gov/developmentmap directly into your preferred web browser.

If you have questions about how to access or use the new tool, please contact Kate Lesser at 303-655-2059.
