The Brighton Eye for Art Program is seeking votes from the public for the 2021 People’s Choice Award. The selected piece of artwork will become part of the City of Brighton’s permanent art collection. Among the artwork the public can choose from are “Dancing Flame” by Jerry Jaramillo, “Wing II” by ML Duffy and Bill Bunting’s “Raising Old Glory” and “With Wings Like Eagles.” To cast a vote, go to brightonco.gov/sculptures. The voting deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 16.
Each of the four pieces of artwork are currently on display at Carmichael Park as part of the Eye for Art Program’s Art on Loan Program. As part of the program, outdoor sculptures are displayed for one year for citizens and visitors to enjoy. The winning art for this year’s People’s Choice Award will become part of the City’s permanent art collection and will be relocated to a permanent location within the city for public display.
This award is sponsored by the Brighton Cultural Arts Commission and Brighton Public Art Committee.
