Each year the Brighton City Council awards grants to support activities that strengthen economic development, fund special events, assist cultural arts facilities, and promote tourism and related activities that inspire people to spend money in Brighton.
The Brighton Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (BLTAC) is currently accepting proposals for the use of Lodging Tax funds for Brighton-based organizations directly involved in promoting the community to visitors and businesses. The Committee seeks organizations and teams who meet these criteria:
Demonstrated ability to develop, promote and administer projects which result in attracting new visitors and businesses to the community
Managed successful grant-funded projects and are proficient in project implementation and financial compliance reporting including monitoring grant-funded and matching funds budgets and adhering to a timeline-driven work plan
Contributed to the community – economically, fiscally, and culturally
Demonstrated ability to create overnight stays (lodging)

Organizations need to email completed applications by 5 p.m. on November 5 to grants@brightonco.gov with the subject line “2022 LTG application – (your organization or project name).” The Brighton Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will review all eligible applications. Representatives of organizations with qualified applications will be provided an opportunity to present their proposal to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.
