[ARCHIVED] Brighton to offer Christmas tree recycling

Brighton to offer Christmas tree recycling

The City of Brighton will offer Christmas tree recycling December 26 – January 12. Residents will have the opportunity to drop off Christmas trees at the following locations:

• Brighton Park south parking lot (9th and Midland)
• Brighton Sports Complex (1111 Judicial Center Drive)
• Ken Mitchell Park (889 Kinglet Court)

Residents will also have the option to recycle their Christmas trees using curbside pickup Monday, January 12. Residents must place their tree on the curb by 7 a.m. in order to be picked up.

Residents are asked to remove everything from the tree before dropping it off - no yard waste, tree limbs, or wreathes will be allowed. Only Christmas trees will be accepted.

Trees will be chipped and mulch will be available January 17 on a first-come-first-serve basis at Brighton Park south parking lot off Midland Street.

For more information, contact the Brighton Parks Department at 303-655-2054. This program is sponsored by Ironwood Earthcare, “Setting the Standard in Tree Care,” 303-366-3020.
