Eagle View E-Blast 2021 July - August Zoom Links
Welcome to our email newsletter providing you with the Zoom links to register for Eagle
View Adult Center programs offered via Zoom. For some programs, you will need to register in advance to get the Zoom link. For others, you just click on the Zoom link a few minutes before class time. Most happenings have a phone-in option as well. All Zoom programs are offered FREE of charge.
We have transitioned back to mailing out the bi-monthly Senior Pride Newsletter. The Senior Pride contains ALL classes and happenings at the Eagle View Adult Center - but does not contain the registration links for programs we are still offering by Zoom. We will continue to email the Eagle View E-Blasts every Friday, which mainly contain links to the programs we offer by Zoom. If you are on our Senior Pride mailing list you should have already received the July/August edition in the mail. If you are not on our Senior Pride list or did not receive the most recent newsletter, please call the center at 303-655-2075 to give us your home address.
Front desk staff are available by phone Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at 303-655-2075 if you have questions. For help finding needed services or resources call Evon Benitez at 303-655-2079.
In-Person: If you are attending in-person you must register at EVAC by the deadline. Seating is limited. Programs available to attend in-person will state “EVAC” in the title.
Happenings – July/August
First Families of Denver (Tues. July 20 @ 2:00 p.m.)
The hallways they walked still stand in many corners of the city and their stories echo through Denver’s history. They are the families that made Denver great. The Byers, the Evans, the Cheesmans, the Tabors, the Moffats, the Boettchers, and many others had a vision for what a lonely outpost on the high plains could become. Though some might argue with their methods and morals, they left indelible marks. Presented by Denver History Tours. Register in advance to receive the Zoom link.

Colorado Train History (Thurs. Aug 12 @ 2:00 p.m.)
When William Jackson Palmer headed west to make his fortune, it was not on the backs of miners that his fortune was made, but on the wheels and rails of the Iron Horse. Trains made it possible to get the bounty torn from the earth by miners and farmers to the hungry mouths and pockets of the country’s growing population, but this prosperity could just have easily passed us by if the City of Cheyenne, Wyoming had gotten its way. Join Denver History Tours for a look at the history of the train. Register in advance to receive the Zoom link.
