The City of Brighton is in the process of transitioning its online bill pay portal from XPress BillPay to Wells Fargo e-Bill. This transition makes it possible to handle a larger volume of electronic payments from customers without interruption. The Wells Fargo e-Bill portal will be able to accommodate a larger number of users and is more cost effective to the City. Brighton utility customers are encouraged to now use the new online payment system by going to e-billexpress.com/ebpp/Brighton/.
During this transition period, utility customers can still pay through Xpress BillPay. In addition, the city offers many other ways for customers to pay their utility bill including Direct Pay (automatic deduction from a checking or savings account), by phone, in-person at City Hall (500 S. 4th Avenue), by mail, or using the drop box in front of City Hall. Eventually, the option to pay through Xpress BillPay will be eliminated.
City staff are working to contact by phone and mail customers who have consistently used the Xpress BillPay portal over the past few years to explain the transition and to request customers sign up for the new Wells Fargo e-bill portal to continue electronic payments.
