Flix and Kicks 2021 summer series lineup announced


The City of Brighton is gearing up to host another year of its popular outdoor Flix and Kicks concerts and movies in the park series this summer.

The 2021 schedule will include the following concerts and movies:

  • Thursday, June 17: Wendy Woo Band (Rock, blues band) at 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 24: Moana (PG)
  • Thursday, July 1: Funk It Up (Dance band) at 7 p.m. 
  • Sunday, July 4: TBD
  • Thursday, July 15: Close Encounters of the Third Kind (PG)
  • Thursday, July 22: 6 Million Dollar Band (Eighties dance band) at 6 p.m.
    • **This concert will be in collaboration with the annual City BBQ
  • Thursday, July 29: The Goonies (PG)
  • Thursday, August 5: Chicano Heat (Tejano band) at 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 12: Aladdin (1992, PG)
  • Thursday, August 19: Derek Hall & The Possibilities at 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 26: Wonder Woman 1984 (PG-13)

All concerts and movies listed above will be located at Carmichael Park, 650 Southern Avenue. All movies will begin at dusk. Admission is free, but seating is first come, first served. We encourage attendees to bring blankets, lawn chairs, picnics, bug spray and other amenities.

COVID-19 guidelines for outdoor events at the time of each concert or movie showing will apply. The City will be incorporating several extra measures to help keep attendees safe.

Flix and Kicks is sponsored by the Brighton Cultural Arts Commission (BCAC), the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) and the City of Brighton.
