SUMMERFEST_

The City of Brighton is thrilled to announce the musical lineup for Summerfest on Saturday, June 5: Jon Portillo & David J. Henning, Groove 'N Motion and event headliner, Super Diamond. Musical acts will kick off at 11 a.m. and will be performed on the First National Bank of Omaha Entertainment Stage.

11 a.m. - Noon: Jon Portillo & David J. Henning (David J. Henning website)

12:30 - 2 p.m.: Groove 'N Motion (Groove 'N Motion website)

3 p.m.: Super Diamond (headliner) (Super Diamond website)

David J. Henning is a singer/songwriter based out of Denver. Originally from northwest Pennsylvania, he began focusing on songwriting in 2014 and has quickly gained recognition in Denver. With growing accomplishments, including recognition from the Westword and COMBO (Colorado Music Business Organization), David has been in demand as a guitar player and vocalist providing featured work on many growing Denver, Los Angeles and Nashville artists' albums.

A stylistically unique horn band, the members of Groove 'N Motion have been singing, performing, and playing in sync as if they’d been together their entire musical careers. Performing at a variety of venues with their musical energy, Groove 'N Motion will have you singing along to all your favorite songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s, as well as to today's current hits!

Headlining Summerfest will be nationally-touring Neil Diamond tribute band Super Diamond. Super Diamond’s success in America is unprecedented for a tribute band. With a nod from the man himself, Neil, Super Diamond has been embraced by the long-time Neil Diamond fan base and also found huge popularity in the hip rock clubs of America.

Summerfest, the city’s largest community festival, is making its return to Carmichael Park (650 E. Southern St.) on Saturday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Events will include family-friendly activities, businesses and organizations educating the public on their services, food vendors and more. No registration is required for attendance. All Summerfest activities and concerts are free to the public. Food will be available for purchase. COVID-19 guidelines at the time will apply.
