The Eagle View Adult Center will offer a free Conversations about Dementia program at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 at 1150 Prairie Center Parkway.

Currently, more than 5 million Americans are living with Dementia, with a new diagnosis happening every 47 seconds (www.alz.org). With the holidays approaching, you may see your older relatives and realize they need assistance past your capabilities.

The Conversations about Dementia class will offer tips on how to have honest and caring conversations with family members about going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans. The class will be led by Karen Moravek from the Alzheimer’s Association.

The deadline to register is Tuesday, December 2.
