The city of Brighton’s Parks and Recreation Department will host the 30th Annual Turkey Trot at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Brighton Recreation Center, 555 N. 11th Ave.
The 5K run/walk is a Bolder Boulder qualifying race and features various age divisions with awards given to first, second and third place male and female finishers in each age division.
Registration is available in-person at the Brighton Recreation Center through noon on Thursday, Nov. 20 or online by noon on Thursday, Nov. 20 at www.brightonco.gov/turkeytrot. The early bird registration fee is $25/adults (16-59) or $17/youth (15 and under) and seniors (60+). The race day fee is $30/adults (16-59) or $22/youth (15 and under) and seniors (60+).
A discount is available to City of Brighton employees and 27J students and teachers. The fee includes a great long sleeve Tec T-shirt, post race breakfast, prizes, drawings and much more.
Race participants are encouraged to bring gently used shoes and toys to give to the Brighton community in need. Packet pickup will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 18 and 19, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Brighton Recreation Center. Please, no dogs allowed.
