Brighton police are investigating a disturbance in which three people appear to have been shot in a Brighton apartment.

Officers were dispatched to 131 W. Egbert St. on a report of a disturbance at about 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday night, Dec. 23, 2020. Upon arrival, they found two males with gunshot wounds and injuries from a knife or similar edged weapon. A short time later, Weld County deputies located a third male party believed to be involved in the altercation, suffering from similar injuries, in the area of Weld County Road 4 and Colorado Blvd.

At this point, the incident remains under investigation, no charges have been filed, and no names are being released. Police ask that anyone with information about the incident call Detective Arehart at (720) 685-7317.
