The Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau has been chosen as a Shop Small “Neighborhood Champion” through the American Express Shop Small campaign. We are pleased to announce this special event brought to you through a partnership of The Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, the Brighton Economic Development Corporation, and the City of Brighton.

All are encouraged to support the diverse selection of local establishments to Shop Small on Saturday November 28.  Participating small businesses include: shops, restaurants and breweries, salons, boutiques and more.  Many will offer special discounts and offers unique to Shop Small Saturday.   Please use the hashtags: #ShopSmallSaturday and #ShopSmallBrightonCo as you support small businesses on social media.  We will use Facebook and Instagram to announce Shop Small happenings in Brighton, Colorado as the day approaches.

Shop Small Saturday is about more than just shopping at small businesses. It’s a cause that helps support our local economy and promote a unique, vibrant, and diverse community. Shop Small Saturday is a nationwide movement fueled by shoppers, business owners, and organizers who come together and celebrate the community because they know it matters. Brighton small businesses play a key role in helping our community thrive. By shopping or dining at your favorite local places throughout the year, you’re showing your support for small businesses and making a positive impact in your community.

Small Business Saturday was created 10 years ago by American Express in response to small business owners’ most pressing need: getting more customers. The day has become a national tradition with seven in ten (70-percent) American adults surveyed by American Express and NFIB reporting being aware of the day. Shoppers this year are conscious and considering the impact small businesses have in their community. A vast majority of respondents who shopped on Small Business Saturday (96-percent) agree that shopping at small, independently-owned businesses supports their commitment to making purchases that have a positive social, economic, and environmental impact.

How can you get involved?  If you are a local business please reach out to us with information on any deals or special activities you have planned! Email your promotion to info@brightonchamber.com.
