The Elmwood Cemetery staff invites Brighton residents to celebrate Halloween early with a historic cemetery walk from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.
The walk will give residents a peek into the lives of Brighton’s various city leaders, farmers, pioneers and soldiers buried in the cemetery – all of whom have a story to be shared. Elmwood Cemetery Manager Aaron Corr believes the walk will bring the history of Brighton’s past residents to life, in a fun and creative way.
Learn the history of Brighton as you walk through the cemetery and listen to guides dressed in period attire talk about their ancestors and their connection to Brighton.
This event is a semi-self led walking tour. Maps will be available to attendees to see who guides are talking about and where they are located in the cemetery.
This is a free event presented by Elmwood Cemetery and the city of Brighton.
