The Brighton community is encouraged to bike to work or school on Tuesday, Sept. 22 and get a free breakfast burrito at the Bike Brighton Breakfast Burrito Bike-In Bash. Bicyclists must ride to the Bike Brighton tent at Emi Chikuma Splash Pad and Plaza (1750 Skeel Street) from 6:30 - 8:15 a.m. to receive a free breakfast burrito from Santiago’s Mexican Restaurant courtesy of Bike Brighton.
This event celebrates the statewide Bike to Work Day, which was postponed from June to September due to COVID-19. Throughout the pandemic, bicycling has remained one of activities that has allowed for social distancing and one that Bike Brighton continues to encourage the public to do.
In addition to the burritos, maps of City parks, trails and open spaces will be handed out for free.
Participants are required to wear a face covering unless they are bicycling. Helmets are recommended.
If you have any questions, please contact Mark Heidt, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation and the City’s Bicycle Program Coordinator, at mheidt@brightonco.gov or 303-655-2170.
