The City of Brighton will host Ecofair 2014 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday at Carmichael Park, located at 650 Southern Street in Brighton. The event is a great opportunity to recycle computers, keyboards, laptops, lcd’s, mice, printers, rechargeable batteries – cell, laptop and phone. Also, dvd and vcr players, cable boxes, all-in-one fax machines, athletic shoes (no cleats), printer cartridges, eye glasses, cell phones, Christmas lights, plastic grocery bags and car tires can be recycled. NO CRT MONITORS OR TVs. Free paper shredding will also be available. Each person is allowed to bring up to three copy boxes or one large trash bag of paper to shred. Visit over 30 information and vendor booths, and enjoy family activities such as face painting, alpaca petting zoo and bounce house. Come and learn about the state of the environment, energy conservation and alternative energy.
