The City’s Park and Recreation Department would like to remind visitors of parks, trails, and open spaces to pick up their trash and waste after use. With the recent increase of public use of these spaces, there has been a noticeable increase in trash and dog waste left behind that is mirrored by the increase in complaints regarding this issue than in years past.
This accumulation leaves behind extra work for maintenance staff in their effort to keep these spaces clean. While the City is happy to see greater use of its parks, trails and open spaces, it hopes this reminder to the public will help to maintain cleanliness of these spaces for everyone to continue to enjoy.
