Move and Be Fit w/Rosalie (Tues. Aug 18 @ 9:00 a.m.)
Move and be fit with exercises designed to stimulate both brain and body. Exercise can be done seated or standing, so suitable for all fitness levels. Improve your leg and upper body strength, balance, and posture for great benefits. Be ready with a good sturdy chair, two hand weights (or water bottles/cans of food), and a fitness band or dish towel. Instructor: Rosalie Farrer.

Instructor Carolyn Priola leads you in yoga positions for both beginning and intermediate level participants. Recent yoga experience and ability to get on and up from the floor are required. Walk On! - Barr Lake State Park (Wed. Aug 19 @ 8:00 a.m.)
The walking group will walk the beautiful trail at Barr Lake State Park )13401 Piccadilly Rd.) Meet at the Nature Center. Entrance fee is $8 per car or free if you have a State Park Pass. It’s National Aviation Day! Join Active Minds for a review of aviation in the United States. We will begin the story with the Wright Brothers and end with a look at the airline industry today, including the possibility of supersonic flights again in the not too distant future. VOA Meal Delivery
Volunteers of America are offering a box of five frozen meals delivered to your home. You must be 60+ years old and be a resident of Brighton. The suggested contribution for the meals is $2.50 meal / $12.50 per box, although the ability to pay is not the deciding factor if you are eligible. Boxes are delivered on Thursdays. If you would like to receive meals, call 303-655-2075 and leave your name & phone number.

ARTfest at the Armory
The City of Brighton is excited to announce its community art show ARTfest will be held through Sept. 30 at the Armory Performing Arts Center located at 300 Strong Street. The event is free to the public and open for viewing Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Fridays from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Director Dean Sobel will take you on a virtual tour into the secret depths of CSM’s north painting storage vaults. Sobel will take you behind the scenes to show you what storage is like and what Patricia Still envisioned for the space. Sobel will pull out painting racks to share some paintings that have never been displayed at the Museum (and why!), collection curiosities, and some of his own personal favorites.
