The Eagle View Adult Center announces the following upcoming programs:
Medicare 101 for Seniors
Are you turning 65? Are you already signed up for Medicare but don’t really understand what it all about? This program is an overview of Medicare, what it is, how it works, what it covers, especially under Parts A and B. The Eagle View Adult Center will host Medicare 101 at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The deadline to RSVP is Friday, Sept. 5. An evening class will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2. The deadline to RSVP is Oct. 1.
Supplemental Medicare Plans
Information will be presented on Medicare Supplemental insurance that may need to cover gaps in Medicare Part A and B. This class will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The deadline to RSVP is Sept. 19.
Medicare Part D
Prescription drug plans and pricing change every year. This is an overview of the new changes for 2015 Medicare Part D coverage. This class will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14. The deadline to RSVP is Oct. 10
Medicare Advantage Plans
How does Medicare work when you sign up for HMO plans like Secure Horizons, Rocky Mountain, or Kaiser? Learn the advantages and disadvantages. This class will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28. The deadline to RSVP is Oct. 24
Medicare Saving Plans & the Low-Income Subsidy
There is a benefit available to low-income individuals to help them pay for Part B and prescription coverage. You may qualify if you make under$1,333 monthly for individuals or $1,790 per couple. This class will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The deadline to RSVP is Nov. 7.
