The City of Brighton encourages residents to apply for the new Residential Water and Sewer Grant. Funding for the grant comes from the federal CARES Act and provides up to $300 in one-time assistance for water and sewer payments to residents who have faced significant negative financial impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant will be applied directly as a credit on the resident’s water and sewer account.
To qualify for the Residential Water and Sewer Grant, you must meet the following criteria:
Be a current City of Brighton water customer
Be current on your account
Application must be for your primary residence
Demonstrate that you are experiencing financial difficulty due to the COVID-19 pandemic
These are federal funds passed through via the CARES Act and subject to Federal reporting and eligibility requirements. The deadline to submit an application is August 14, 2020.
