Brighton City Council invites community members to attend an open house for the City Manager candidate finalists on July 15 from 6 - 7 p.m. or 7 - 8 p.m. The community open house will be at the Armory Performing Arts Center, 300 Strong Street. The open house will provide the community an opportunity to learn more about the candidates, ask questions, and provide feedback to City Council.
Out of COVID-19-related health and safety precautions, the City will be incorporating several extra measures to keep attendees safe and is asking those interested in attending to RSVP at www.brightonco.gov/openhouse.
The City of Brighton received 73 applications for the position recently advertised. On April 21, City Council voted to hire executive recruiting firm Colin Baenziger & Associates to conduct the nationwide search. The firm submitted all the candidates to City Council for their review, including the results of reference, background information, and internet/newspaper archive checks. At the July 14 City Council meeting, Council will have a discussion to vote on City Manager candidates.
On July 16, the finalists will be interviewed individually by City Council, followed by a Council panel interview on July 17.
