Due to an overwhelming response, the City of Brighton is expanding the hours of its tree limb disposal site and extending its curbside tree pick-up program to next week. The limb disposal site (325 N. Kuner Road) will be open Saturday, June 13 from 7 a.m. to noon. The extended curbside program dates are set for June 15 - 17.
The City requests that if the contracted tree crew already came to your street, please don’t put out any new material. This will help the crew to get through the route as efficiently as possible.
The limb site is open to the public year-round, but appointments are required. Please call 303-655-2048 to schedule a drop-off. This service is open to Brighton residents only, no contractors. Tree limbs only, no grass clippings, lumber, furniture, bags of leaves, rocks, etc.
The free service is in response to the weekend’s storm that left behind widespread damage, including dozens of uprooted trees. To assist residents with the cleanup, city staff partnered with a contracted tree company to do curbside pickup. The service is available to residents who live between 1st and 13th Avenues from Bromley Lane to 168th Avenue. Residents will need to cut the limbs into manageable-sized pieces and place the limbs between the sidewalk and street curb (please don’t block the sidewalk). We are unable to come onto private property and remove any trees or limbs.
