On June 2, City Council voted to waive the fee for temporary use applications.
Beginning May 27, state guidelines permitted indoor seating for restaurants limited to 50-percent of capacity or 50 people (whichever is less). Echoing Governor Jared Polis, City staff are encouraging use of outdoor seating areas, including sidewalks and parking lots, to allow for more patrons with the submission of a temporary permit (guidelines here). This decision to waive the $50 permit fee will help to ease the financial burden that COVID-19 has had on local business owners.
Fees will revert back to $50 beginning Sept. 5.
