[ARCHIVED] Brighton Recreation Center’s Sports Department to host summer sports camps

Challenger Sports camps

Using guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, the Brighton Recreation Center’s Sports Department will be hosting youth sports camps starting in June.

Kicking things off the week of June 15 will be beginner softball and baseball clinics for children ages 6 - 12. The softball clinic will run for a duration of one week from June 15 - 19, with registration closing on June 8. The baseball clinic will take place the following week, June 22 - 26, with registration closing on June 15. Both clinics will run from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. To sign-up, click here.

Precautions will be taken to protect athletes. Clinics will follow strict social distancing guidelines with the maximum occupancy of 22 players per sport. To ensure proper guidelines are being followed, please be sure that athletes bring their own equipment including water bottles, bats, gloves, helmets, hats, sunscreen, snacks and other necessities. The Brighton Recreation Center will provide sanitization for equipment and athletes as needed.

Coming this July, Skyhawks and Challenger Sports will be hosting a variety of sports camps for athletes of all ages.

Challenger Sports, the leading soccer camp company in North America, has combined the most popular elements of their two existing industry-leading camp programs, British Soccer and TetraBrazil, into a collection of the most effective soccer practices used by youth teams around the world. The camp will take place July 27 - 31 at Brighton Park (adjacent to the Recreation Center) and programs are available for children ages 3 - 14. For more information and to register, click here.

Skyhawks Colorado will be hosting its Basketball Camp and Flag Football Camp. Full of interaction and excitement, Skyhawks’ camps provide great fun for everyone, and our best camps are known to have a festival-like atmosphere. The most incredible part of a Skyhawks Sports camp is children forget they are learning valuable sport and life skills because those lessons are so well integrated with friendly and fascinating play. The Basketball Camp will take place July 13 - 17 and the Flag Football Camp will take place July 27 - 31. For more information and to register, click here.
