Brighton Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a truck that occurred on southbound Highway 85 at E-470 on Friday at about 4:30 a.m.
 
According to witnesses, the truck and another vehicle involved were driving aggressively in what was described as road rage and possible racing. Speed and aggressive driving are likely factors that contributed to the crash. The driver of the truck was not wearing a seat belt. The other vehicle involved was described as a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying more information about the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the driver of the Jeep.  

The motorist of the truck, a 36 year-old male from Northglenn, died on scene of the crash; his identity is being withheld pending notification of relatives.  If anyone was a witness to the driving leading up to the crash, or the crash itself, you are urged to contact police at 303-288-1535.
