A man told Brighton officers he was the victim of an attempted robbery in the 700 block of Voiles Pl. during the early-morning hours of Friday, May 8, 2020.

The victim said he was sitting in his pick-up truck at about 12:30 a.m. when two men approached and attempted to rob him at gunpoint; he told police that when he instead put the vehicle in gear and drove off, he heard several gunshots. Police have spoken to area residents who confirmed hearing what sounded like gunshots. Officers were able to confirm that the man was not injured in the incident.
