The City of Brighton is pleased to announce its first community clean-up day – Good Clean Fun. The Good Clean Fun event will be held from 9 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. Good Clean Fun is expected to bring out hundreds of community volunteers who will clean up trash in Brighton and beautify the community.
“This is a great opportunity for community members to come together and help make Brighton shine,” said Murphy Robinson, event coordinator. “There is so much pride that exists in our community and this is just another way for residents to show how much they love Brighton.”
Volunteers of all ages are needed to help in this community effort. Individuals or teams interested in participating may sign up at www.brightonco.gov/brightonsustainable. Clean up areas will target the downtown Brighton corridor. Participants will meet and end at Carmichael Park, located directly behind City Hall. A post-event pizza party will be held for volunteers. In addition, all volunteers that sign up by Sept. 13 will receive an event T-shirt.
For more information on the event, to become a sponsor, or to sign up via telephone, please call Murphy Robinson at 303-655-2139.
