Brighton City Council tonight approved a resolution certifying the ballot content for the special mail ballot municipal election to fill the Ward 2 City Council vacancy. The special election will be held on April 28 and includes the following candidates:
- Ann Taddeo
- Michael A. Boutwell
- Donald D.R. Dill
- T’Nell Page
Ballots will be mailed out no later than April 13 and may be dropped off at the 24-hour ballot drop-box located in front of City Hall, 500 S. 4th Ave. up until 7 p.m. on April 28. There will also be a box inside City Hall where residents may drop-off ballots during business hours. Voters needing to obtain a new ballot may do so at City Hall after April 13.
In addition to City Hall, on Election Day, voters may also obtain a new ballot or drop off their ballot at the Brighton Recreation Center, 555 N. 11th Ave., between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
On Dec. 17, 2019, Ward 2 Council Member Greg Mills was sworn in as Mayor, creating a vacancy in Ward 2. The candidate elected would fill the vacated seat of the unexpired term ending January 2022.
