The City of Brighton has launched an online dashboard designed to track the progress of its strategic plans, capital projects, and other city work. On-Track is a feature that allows departments to track projects and update the status of projects in a user-friendly way that’s available 24/7 to residents, City Council, and employees.
On-Track aligns with the strategic planning work that the City Council began in early 2018 and allows the city to move towards greater public accountability and transparency. Residents can view get to the On-Track dashboard by visiting www.brightonco.gov/On-Track.
While navigating the On-Track dashboard, the public will notice all initiatives fall under one of eight strategic focus areas that the Brighton City Council adopted back in 2018. The City Manager’s Office has been working on debuting this feature since then and believes it has found the best way to display city staff’s great work while also being more transparent.
On-Track will be updated, at a minimum, once every three months.
By early 2020, the city will also be launching a similar progression tracker for its five year Capital Improvement Project Plan.
If you have questions about On-Track or do not see the specific project you’re looking for, please contact the City Manager’s Office at 303-655-2043.
ABOUT CITY COUNCIL’S STRATEGIC PLAN
During 2018, the Brighton City Council underwent the process of creating and adopting the city’s Strategic Plan for 2018-2019. This plan is intended to provide a high-level focus on the most critical priorities facing the city in future years. City Council will revisit the strategic plan every two years, with the next update anticipated in the spring of 2020. City Council officially adopted the Strategic Plan on May 1, 2018.
Following the adoption of the Strategic Plan, City Council and staff completed the process of identifying the most critical initiatives that align with the newly adopted Strategic Plan Focus Areas. The 2018-2019 Business Plan includes initiatives that the city will undertake over the next two years. These initiatives are critical to the successful execution of the Strategic Plan. City Council officially adopted the Business Plan on August 7, 2018.
