The City of Brighton Special Events division is pleased to announce its Concerts at Carmichael 2014 summer concert series. The series includes:
July 4, 7 – 9 p.m. – Swerve
Swerve is a professional, working cover band based in Denver. Swerve performs rock, classic rock, modern country, as well as a variety of other material.
July 25, 7 – 9 p.m. – Thumpin’
Thumpin’ has become one of the most popular bands on the Denver music scene, drawing enthusiastic crowds and amassing a loyal following who love what this band does: providing its audiences with music that moves the body and soul, music with maximum groove. Thumpin' combines two energetic lead vocalists with a tight rhythm and horn section, pristine vocal harmonies, and a repertoire of songs that spans five decades of funk, soul, and R&B
Aug. 1, 7 – 9 p.m. – Buckstein
Featured on seasons 5 & 6 of American Idol, Matt Buckstein and his band have put together a show with a vengeance. Buckstein is working to define a sound and show that can only be described as "Colorado Country.” You get a little bit of everything when Buckstein hits the stage.
The concert series will be held at Carmichael Park, located at 650 Southern Street, directly behind Brighton City Hall. All concerts are free and open to the public. The 2014 concert series is sponsored by the City of Brighton, Brighton Cultural Arts Commission and the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District.
