Lifeguard Training

This is an accelerated version of our lifeguard training. Lifeguard candidates must be 15 years old by the last day of class, and able to pass all swim prerequisites on the first day of class to remain enrolled in the course (300-yard swim, two minutes treading water, no hands & 10lbs brick retrieval). They must also have completed all the online learning prior to the first day of class.

For questions about the lifeguard course call Sara Heisdorffer at 303-655-2212.

Cost: $55 per course, which covers the cost of your certification and personal resuscitation equipment. Need-based scholarships are available.

**Brighton Aquatics offers lifeguard courses with the intent to hire for the summer season and beyond. If you are looking for a flexible, positive work environment, apply now!

If you are 14 years old and interested in lifeguarding, consider applying for our Junior Lifeguard Volunteer program at the Oasis! We will give you a season pass to the Oasis, a Red Cross CPR certification and train you on lifeguard rescues, teach you the ropes at the Oasis over the summer, and your volunteer hours can be applied to high school volunteer requirements. If you are interested for Summer 2021, please submit a letter of interest to John at jworkman@brightonco.gov.
