Young Rembrandts: Art Sessions
Young Rembrandts workshops are meant to improve your child's core learning skills while they dig into a favorite subject matter. Young Rembrandts is offering eight different workshops that are a week long for 6 to 12 year old's at the Brighton Recreation Center.

Character Creation: Anime & Manga Drawing Workshop
5 days - 2hours per day - Ages 6-12
If you have Manga Mania, sign up for this class. Join Young Rembrandts for a 5 day drawing workshop; we’ll be drawing and coloring all things ANIME! Artists will learn to draw their own anime style characters ranging from easy to challenging – this is a great way to perfect those skills and learn new manga tricks. Each day students will complete multiple pieces of artwork like customized faces, animals, sugoi action and more ARTastic drawings. Sign up today!
Culinary Mischief Pastel Drawing Workshop
5 days - 2 hours per day - Ages 6-12
Our domestic critters are up to no good in this five-day pastel workshop! We’ll use pastels to create amazing, “can’t-believe-I-drew-this” masterpieces. A mouse making soup, a dog eyeing the spaghetti and silly birds on cakes are some of the mischievously-delicious drawings students will create every day. Pastels are an amazing medium—that with good direction, can make an artist out of any rookie. You won’t believe the results from this fun-for-all, skill-enhancing workshop. No experience necessary. Art is all around us, including on phones and online! Join Young Rembrandts for a workshop mimicking the amazing imagery of our Favorite Apps and Video Games! Every day students will learn new illustration and coloring techniques inspired by popular video games. Artwork is inspired by a pixel block characters, plants, zombies and many more classic apps and games. Ocean Life Pastel Drawing Workshop
5 days - 2 hours per day – Ages 6-12
Five, fun-filled days await our students as we explore ocean life as they learn to draw and color with pastels. We will create detailed, pastel compositions on each day, focusing on a different ocean-themed subject. We will draw eye-catching sea stars along the shoreline and a pair of vibrant clown fish. We will illustrate a sea turtle with bold patterns, a blue crab and a wondrous scene of jellyfish.
