Wheel Throwing for Beginners and Intermediate

Join us for Pottery – Wheel Throwing. This beginner and intermediate wheel throwing class is for students who have never used the potter’s wheel as well as students who are still developing their throwing skills. Participants will learn how to prep clay for wheel throwing as well as how to center, pull and push the clay on the wheel. Guided by a local professional pottery artist, students will practice making basic cylinder shapes such as mugs and bowls. Each class is structured for you to learn a technique that will be paired with a project, which means you are creating pieces on day one. The cost includes use of one of our pottery wheels, clay, tools, glaze as well as bisque and glaze firing of completed pieces.
